Admissions interview is CAN $100

The cost of a seminar day is CAN $190.

Each training year consists of approximately 20 days.

Other costs are self-paced, although it is recommended to participate in other aspects of the training alongside the seminars.

Workshops and the Introduction seminars may vary in fees. Please enquire.

 

EA TRAINING

THREE LEVELS of EA TRAINING:

$100 for Entrance Interview (usually done after Intros)
$190 per day

Please note that after the Basic Certificate, one would choose to either do the Counselling Diploma or Psychotherapy Diploma. Each has its own set of requirements - one would not have to do both sets.

Basic Certificate in Existential Analysis and Logotherapy

  • 44 to 54 seminar days

  • Includes Intros (5 days)

  • Includes 2 days enrollment weekend

  • 2 1⁄2 to 3 years

*SELF-EXPERIENCE

EA therapist is $90-$120 per session

  • no cost EA small groups

  • other options cost?

Minimum 15 hours individually with therapist

  • minimum 10 of these hours with EA therapist (for other therapists, 2 hours count as 1 hour)

  • Maximum 5 hours in EA small groups (3 hours count as 1 hour, hence maximum 15 hours in EA small groups)

SUPERVISION

  • not a requirement

 

Counselling Diploma in Existential Analysis and Logotherapy

  • 7 additional clinical seminar days

  • Plus 4 PD days (special seminars/congresses)

  • 3 to 3 1⁄2 years (includes supervision)

EA therapist is $90-$120 per session

Minimum 30 hours

  • Minimum 20 hours individually with therapist ~ minimum 10 of these hours with EA therapist (for other therapists, 2 hours count as 1 hour)

  • Maximum 10 hours in EA small groups (3 hours count as 1 hour, hence maximum 30 hours in EA small groups)

*SUPERVISION

EA supervision costs are the same as a seminar day:

Psychotherapy Diploma in Existential Analysis

  • 36 to 46 additional seminar days

  • Plus 7 PD days (special seminars/congresses)

  • Minimum 5-6 years, usually 6-7 years (includes supervision) for completion of all requirements

EA therapist is $90-$120 per session

Minimum 50 hours (usually 70-80 hours)

  • Minimum 32 hours individually with therapist - minimum 16 of these hours with EA therapist (for other therapists, 2 hours count as 1 hour)

  • Maximum 18 hours in EA small groups (3 hours count as 1 hour, hence maximum 54 hours in EA small groups)

EA supervision costs are the same as a seminar day:

Formulas & Details to Note

*Self-Experience Formula

  • Individual self-experience with EA therapist: 1 hour counts as 1 hour

  • Individual self-experience with other therapist: 2 hours count as 1 hour - Group self experience with EA small groups: 3 hours count as 1 hour

  • Therapists not trained in EA are to have an existential or humanistic orientation

*Supervision Formula

  • EA seminar supervision: 1 hour counts as 1 hour (generally 8 hours full day)

  • EA group supervision with EA therapist: 1 hour counts as 1 hour

  • Group supervision with EA therapist or other therapist: 2 hours count as 1 hour

  • EA peer group supervision: 3 hours counts as 1 hour

  • Individual supervision with EA therapist: 50 or 60 minutes session counts as 1 hour

  • Individual supervision with other therapist: 2 sessions of 50 or 60 minutes counts as 1 hour

  • Therapists not trained in EA are to have an existential or humanistic orientation

Please note:

  • Student reductions at the seminars are available only to full-time students.

  • Payment for each seminar is required a week or more prior to each seminar.

  • Payments may be made via cheque or e-mail transfer.

  • Trainees are required to pay the tuition for each seminar, even if they are unable to attend all/part of it. This ensures the financial and organizational stability of the training. However, a trainee may make up a missed training seminar in another training cohort free of charge (provided that they have paid the fee).
